This year we were especially proud of the winf group who played very confidently! We were lucky to be able to thank some of the team of Peripetetic staff who make all this possible. Almost everyone in KS2 at Eyam can play an instrument - wow!

Working in a team was vital to the Italian pursuit and our cyclists had enthusiasm in abundance as they peddled to the finish. Well done Squirrels!

The programme included music from Swan lake by Tchaikovsky, the Stravinsky's Firebird and Grieg's In the hall of the Mountain King. The children sang and played their trumpets and trombones along with 100s of other youngsters. Many of our parents came to watch as well as helping with transport (big thanks)! We then took a short walk to the Manchester Museum and enjoyed exploring the history of this exciting city - and recalling our understanding of the Victorian industrial revolution! An amazing experience paid for by the PTFA :)

The children play forest games which teach respect for the environment as well as a chance to run around, hide and work as a team on group challengers!  A big thanks to Rachel for facilitating this. .... more photos to follow

They have been exploring the properties of various materials to discover which are good insulators and would keep ice frozen the longest.

Testing for water resistance involved finding out how to keep their pet dry using tissue paper, greaseproof paper, plastic and cotton. They predicted that tissue would not work very well and they were right!

They also discovered that tooth paste will help protect their teeth from drinks such as coke - covering the egg shells helped to protect them, just like cleaning their teeth.
